Full form of TGT : TGT stands for Trained Graduate Teacher.
About TGT :
TGT "Trained Graduate Teacher" is a tittle given to those graduate who has completed their training in teaching. TGT is a category of teacher who are eligible to teach in school. The TGT teacher are eligible to teach up-to 10th class in school. If you have complete your B.Ed then you don't need to go for TGT because those have completed the B.Ed they are all ready eligible to teach in school up-to 10th class.
Eligibility criteria for TGT :
Their was a entrance exam for TGT training program which is conducted by staff selection commission in different state of India. For appearing the TGT entrance exam you must have completed your graduate or Diploma in education from a recognized university or institute.
Benefit of Career option After TGT :
You can teach up-to 10th class in school. Their are two categories for teaching.
- J/T : Junior teacher - They can teach up-to 6th class to 10th class.
- A/T : Assistant teacher - They can teach up-to class 1 to class 5.
